Meet Dr. Lisa M Kleyn

I help people break free from unhealthy relationship patterns and build the kind of love they’ve always longed for—through science-backed coaching, transformative intensives, and practical online courses.

If you’re ready for real change, I’m here to help make healing a lived reality.

You’re here because something hurts. And deep down, you believe it doesn’t have to be this way. That hope is your strength—and it’s the reason I do this work.

I’m Dr. Lisa M. Kleyn—a relationship scientist, trauma-informed coach, certified family legal mediator, and global prevention expert with a PhD in Psychology affiliated with the University of Oxford and the University of Cape Town.

My mission is to help people develop the skills to love well—especially when love was never modeled, and survival was the norm.

Over the past decade, I’ve:

  •  Contributed to international violence prevention strategies and policy briefs, with my work cited by the World Health Organization.

  • Completed advanced trainings, workshops, and retreats led by world-renowned experts in trauma, relationships, and grief—including Dr. Gabor Maté (Compassionate Inquiry), Esther Perel, Terry Real(Relational Life Therapy), Dr. Alexandra Solomon, David Kessler, Dick Schwartz (Internal Family Systems), Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Dan Siegel (Interpersonal Neurobiology), Benjamin Fry (Khiron Clinic), George Faller (Emotionally Focused Therapy), and Dr. Steven Hayes (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

  • Worked with individuals, couples, and families across three continents—helping them break inherited patterns and build relationships rooted in emotional safety, secure attachment, and lasting connection.
  • Served as an assistant clinician at the NHS Woodfield Trauma Service, supporting refugees and asylum seekers living with complex PTSD.

  • Attended the Ackerman Institute’s “Moving Families Forward” gala honoring Esther Perel’s legacy in advancing relational and family therapy.

  • Contributed to a podcast discussion with Naftali Moses, exploring the intersections of generational trauma and relational healing.

As a certified legal mediator, I specialize in guiding high-stakes conversations—whether you’re navigating a breakup, rebuilding after betrayal, or untangling co-parenting conflict. My approach blends psychological science with legal clarity and deep compassion—so families can stop looping and start moving forward with dignity and direction.

The truth is: most of us were never taught how to love in a way that truly heals.
But love is a skill—and skills can be learned.
Let’s build a relationship you feel safe in.
